I would never use this book to copy parts, as the staves are too small, but it is a writing book anyway. This book is perfect for arrangement planning, composer's sketches, and for private lessons. The paper is very high quality and no pencil indentations show on the backs of the pages. Another great feature about this book is that the pages have a very nice perforation, which allows a no hassle removal of pages. Many manuscript books that I have found want you to keep the pages in there, which is understandable in some cases, but if you ever want to write great charts and then remove them for any reason, this book does the job,
