Not just a collection of lyrics, this is a beautiful book, printed on good paper, and full of things that please the eye.I have had a couple of copies of this for many years, and recently bought a copy to give as a gift. There are more recent books which include lyrics of songs that Dylan has written in the many years since this was published, but as a gift I like this book much better. It covers Dylan's early career, and I like to share that music. The typeface is large and pleasant to read. The book is peppered with Dylan's drawings and reproductions of original typed copies of lyrics, coffee stains and all.The book is organized into 11 chapters, each one corresponding to a record album, in chronological order beginning with "Bob Dylan" and ending with "New Morning". (So you can play your albums and relax in the recliner reading the lyrics, and maybe sing along!) There is an index of titles, first lines, key lines, publishers and copyright dates at the end of the book.Some text is printed in gray rather than black. It's pretty and still easy to read if your eyesight is OK, but might make reading more difficult for someone with significant vision impairment.
